One other hidden part of McBain. Watch the scene when the guys wake up after a night of drinking at their ridiculously out of place beach house (undisclosed location). Watch carefully when they cut to the table outside. You'll see the big black guy in the scene with a RAGING BONER. Yeah a hard-on, I swear to God. It's like nothing I've ever seen before, it's in the movie, WHY DIDN'T THEY CUT THAT? I dunno, but it's quite remarkable, I don't even think they watched the movie after they cut it.

[...] In fact, he’s part of a fairly reasonable cast, with the fetching Karen Duffy enjoying the leading role as Celeste (and I’m not even going to mention her tiny, tiny part in McBain *). Barry Morse and Matt McCoy play Bradden the baddie and the angelic Gabriel respectively, and both provide a strong dose of hey-it’s-that-guy reactions, though without reference to their extensive careers on IMDB the only things I can actually remember them in are Space 1999 for Morse and Seinfeld for McCoy. But hey, Space 1999 and Seinfeld. [...]

The url of the review I posted in comment no. 1 is now http://www.walkenworks.com/mcbain.htmlOne can't imagine the pitch to Walken on this one. It can't have been the jungle as he says he hates those!

Good review panopticon! I like the implications of your suggestion 2 for Walken making the movie: "It seemed like a good idea at the time." That would have been an interesting pitch to watch :)
